Mark Your Calendar: 2026 Holiday Dates in Hocking Hills
If you asked me when the best time for holiday shopping in Hocking Hills would be, I would plan around four dates this season. They are the Gifts That Give Back Vendor Market, Thanksgiving, Small Business Saturday, and Christmas in Ash Cave. The first one comes early, so do not let it sneak up on you.
The vendor market runs Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7. Then Thanksgiving arrives on Thursday, November 26. Many local shops close or shorten their hours that day, so it is a good day to stay in together.
Two days later is Small Business Saturday, November 28. It is a lovely chance to support the small, local shops in this guide.
On Saturday, December 12, Christmas in Ash Cave runs from 5 pm to 7 pm. It is a sweet way to close out a day of shopping near the caves. Downtown Logan hosts holiday events each year too. Check the Downtown Logan events page for this year’s Christmas Parade date.
For the Christmas Lover: Ornaments, Candles and Wind Chimes Near Old Man’s Cave
If someone on your list counts down to Christmas all year, Ilesboro Road is the place to go. Christmas Treasures, Hocking Hills Candle Works and the Wind Chime Shop share one property at 29205 Ilesboro Road, Logan. The same local owners run all three, so you can easily spend a whole morning there.
Their hours shift with the seasons, so I suggest calling (740) 385-9537 before you go. Use your GPS on the way, and take the country roads slowly if the weather turns icy.
Christmas Treasures
Christmas Treasures is a year-round Christmas shop, and it is full of holiday cheer. You will find Santas, wreaths, sleigh bells, and enameled ornaments, plus a section of locally made gifts.
Before you leave, look for the Hocking Hills ornaments. They make such a sweet keepsake, and they bring back memories of your trip every Christmas.
Hocking Hills Candle Works
Step through Christmas Treasures and you will find Hocking Hills Candle Works, where candles are hand-poured in the store. With 170 scents, including Christmas and fall collections, picking just one is the hardest part.
The good news is you do not have to choose. You can mix and match fragrances and make your own soy candle in about an hour. Just call ahead to save a spot. And if your gift needs to travel far, the shop sells online too.
The Wind Chime Shop
Right next door, the Wind Chime Shop has been welcoming shoppers since 1987. It carries about 2,000 chimes from 45 different lines, which the shop calls the best selection in Ohio.
You will find chimes of copper, steel, bronze, glass, and Brazilian agate, and even a few made from silverware. A chime makes a thoughtful gift for a gardener, a new homeowner, or anyone who loves sitting on their porch.

Gifts That Give Back is close to our family’s heart. When we first started planning how our stays could give back, Cassie Davis was the first person we turned to. She founded the shop after hosting a small Christmas shopping gathering in her own home.
Today, Gifts That Give Back is filled with fair trade, ethically made gifts from artisan groups around the world. Every purchase supports fair wages and dignified work for the person who made it. You will find jewelry, home goods, and body care, and each gift comes with a story worth sharing.
Once a year, Cassie gathers local makers for the Gifts That Give Back Vendor Market. It runs Friday, November 6, 5 pm to 9 pm, and Saturday, November 7, 10 am to 3 pm.
Up to 60 handmade and boutique vendors take part, and each one gives back to a cause they care about. It’s a feel-good way to start your holiday shopping. The 2026 location will be shared closer to the date on the Gifts That Give Back website.

Baking Together Back at the Lodge
Those cookie cutters really come to life once you are back at the cabin. At Magnolia Grove Lodge, the kitchen is stocked with baking essentials, and the dining table seats 14 to 16.
That means the whole family can roll, cut, and decorate cookies together, with room to spare. The kitchen island seats 4 more, perfect for the littlest helpers.

Just down the road from Old Man’s Cave, Grandma Faye’s is a stop with a little history. The store is named for the real Grandma Faye, who sold it in 1986.
Its gift shop carries fudge, candles, wind chimes, and Hocking Hills souvenirs. The grocery side comes in handy too, when the cabin needs a few last-minute things.
Chief Logan General Store at Hungry Buffalo

The Chief Logan General Store is part of Hungry Buffalo, so you can shop and eat in one stop. It carries handcrafted items from local artisans and Hungry Buffalo merchandise, and the selection changes often.

Easy Holiday Shopping Routes Around Hocking Hills
Most of these shops sit along three roads, so a relaxed half day of shopping is easy to plan. Pick the one closest to where your group is staying.
Starting From The Woodlands
If your large group is staying with us, both shopping areas are an easy drive. Woodland Lodge is about 6 miles (11 minutes) from downtown Logan. Old Man’s Cave is 15-25 minutes away.
With 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for 18 guests, it is easy to split up for a few hours. Some of the group can browse the antique malls while the kids pick out stocking stuffers. Then everyone comes home to the lodge for dinner together.
State Route 664 and Ilesboro Road
Start near the Hocking Hills Regional Welcome Center, where Logan Antique Mall, Treehouse, and Weaver’s sit close together. Break for lunch at Hungry Buffalo, then head south to Grandma Faye’s and finish on Ilesboro Road.
Downtown Logan
Park once and stroll Main Street to Gifts That Give Back, Homegrown on Main, and the Columbus Washboard Company. Its factory gift shop is a fun surprise, with handmade soaps and Appalachian gifts. Gifts That Give Back and Homegrown on Main close on Sundays, so save this walk for Monday through Saturday.
US-33 Through Sugar Grove and Rockbridge
Coming from Columbus? Stop at Sugar Grove Antiques first, then continue to Hocking Hills Market in Rockbridge. Laine’s is nearby when everyone gets hungry, and a Friday or Saturday works best for this route.
