the woodlands at hocking hills tv interviews

We were on TV!!!

We’ve been honored to share our journey on TV, where we highlight how a simple family retreat has become a platform for giving back. These segments feature our story, our mission, and even a special spotlight on Carsyn’s give-back journal for kids. Tune in to see how we’re using short-term rentals to create joy and spread kindness in Hocking Hills and beyond.

The Woodlands at Hocking Hills-Good Day Columbus

We’re so excited to share that ‘The Woodlands at Hocking Hills’ was featured on Good Day Columbus, highlighting the heart behind everything we do.

What started as a family retreat has evolved into a family business and now serves as a platform for purpose. Over the last 3.5 years, together with our guests and local community, we’ve raised over $65,000 and provided over 24,000 meals to those in need right here in Southeast Ohio.

And the journey continues…

We’re getting ready to break ground on Magnolia Grove, our next purpose-driven property, where every stay creates a ripple of good.

Thanks for being part of our journey of traveling with purpose!

Making a Difference, one stay and purchase at a time! ❤️

Young Heroes Big Hearts ABC 6

What a joy it’s been to watch Carsyn grow, learn, and now share her book of kindness with the world! This journey has been full of fun (and a few pinch-me moments), but more than anything, it’s been about heart.

Her kindness journal was created to encourage kids (and grown-ups too) to be intentional, find ways to help others, be a light in the darkness, and make kindness a daily habit.

So proud of her and this message she’s sharing—because the world needs more of it. ❤️

Spreading positivity with weekly acts of kindness!

You’re never too old or too young to show kindness. A 13-year-old girl in Central Ohio is leading by example, demonstrating that small, intentional acts can make a significant difference.

Carsyn Todd wrote Young Heroes, Big Hearts after experiencing unkindness during her 5th grade year of middle school. Young Heroes, Big Hearts is a year-long journal that inspires readers to be kinder and give back.

You can purchase the journal on Kids-Give.com.

Proceeds from each journal sold support InspiHer Girls Leadership Foundation, which empowers young girls to be leaders in their schools and communities.
