- 26 and up. At this point you are almost always booking two properties together.

Magnolia Grove Lodge
Magnolia Grove Lodge is our newest property, and it is the largest by guest count. Seven bedrooms across 3,900 square feet means more private rooms than most lodges this size offer. If you are hosting a reunion where couples expect their own space, that ratio matters a great deal.
You will also find ADA-accessible features, a game room, a hot tub, and a fire pit. The lodge sits on 6 private acres, just minutes from the main park areas.
Woodland Lodge
Woodland Lodge sleeps 18 guests across five bedrooms and three bathrooms. At 4,500 square feet, it has the most floor space of the three properties, and it sits on 8 private wooded acres.
Inside, you will find an in-home theater room, a 6-person hot tub, two outdoor fire pits, three 65-inch TVs, and a fully stocked kitchen. The game room keeps everyone busy with ping pong, shuffleboard, air hockey, foosball, and pop-a-shot basketball.
Most guests are 15 to 25 minutes from Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Rock House, and downtown Logan. One thing to note is that Woodland Lodge is not pet-friendly.
Notestone Cabin

Matching Your Group Size to the Right Lodge
For groups of 12 or fewer, Notestone Cabin is the practical fit. If you are bringing 13 to 18 guests, Woodland Lodge gives you the most square footage per person. And once you reach 19 or 20 guests, Magnolia Grove Lodge is your answer, mostly because of that seven-bedroom layout.
Groups larger than 20 have an option here too. Woodland Lodge and Magnolia Grove Lodge sit on the same property, so the two can sometimes be booked together for a bigger gathering. Amenities Guests Look for in a Large Group Cabin
Amenity lists get long in a hurry. When you are traveling with a big group, though, only a handful of them will actually change your trip.
- A game room. This is easily the most useful amenity for a mixed-age crowd. Your teenagers and your grandparents will not do the same hike, but they will absolutely play shuffleboard together. All three of our properties have one.
- A hot tub. There is a reason searches for Hocking Hills cabins with hot tubs stay high all year. After a long day on the trails, it is where everyone naturally ends up.
- A fully stocked kitchen. Feeding 18 people at restaurants three times a day adds up fast. A real kitchen with two refrigerators changes the budget for the whole weekend, and it usually becomes the heart of the trip anyway.
- Outdoor fire pits. Evening gathering space matters as much as indoor space. Fire pits cover that stretch of the night when nobody is quite ready to head inside.
- Laundry and parking. Not glamorous, we know. They are also the first two things groups notice when they are missing, so ask about driveway capacity before eight cars pull in.

Things to Do Near Hocking Hills State Park With a Big Group
Big groups do best with a loose plan and one flexible anchor activity each day. Splitting into smaller groups partway through the afternoon is completely normal, so there is no need to fight it.
Hocking Hills State Park is managed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and it is the main event for most visitors. The park has six primary hiking areas: Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Rock House, Cantwell Cliffs, and Whispering Cave. Trails stay open from dawn to dusk, all year long.
If your group spans a wide range of ages and abilities, Ash Cave is a great place to start. The main trail there is paved and short, so older relatives and strollers can make the walk comfortably. That is not true of every trail in the park, which catches some families off guard.
